Professional Practitioner Training

Programme Design

Course Structure.

Both programmes follow a clear daily rhythm and transparent commitments. Teaching draws solely from locally grown, organic medicinal plants prepared using UNESCO-documented methods under the guidance of Dr. Sanjeewa Alwis.

Daily Schedule

6 teaching hours

Morning and afternoon blocks of 60‑minute hours totalling 6 hours per day.

Weekly Cadence

Mon – Sat

Monday through Saturday instruction. Sunday is reserved for rest, study review, or personal practice.

Basic Course

17 days · 100 hrs

Structured across themed modules covering foundations of Hela Wedakama.

Advanced Course

34 days · 200 hrs

Extended immersion with supervised clinical practice and advanced diagnostics.

Guided by the Wedarala Mission

Our mission is to help you learn the knowledge and principles of traditional Sri Lankan medicine, recognised by the Ministry of Health. We foster a respectful learning community — serious violations of community conduct may lead to exclusion from instruction. Registration is completed once online.

Financial Terms

Payments & Deposits.

Deposit at booking

A percentage of the course fee secures your place and is credited toward tuition; refunded per cancellation rules.

Remaining balance

Due at course start and must be settled within the first 24 hours of instruction.

Payment method

Bank transfer to the provided account. Cash payments accepted only by prior agreement with Wedarala.

Online bookings can be transferred to another person if Wedarala is notified at least 48 hours before the course start. Organiser cancellations receive a full refund or free rebooking within 12 months.
